As you know by now I have set myself a challenge to be more of a cheerleader for the wonderful human beings that surround me, inspire me, encourage me and generally give me hope for the future. So with that in mind every Wednesday I aim to share with you the profile of some fabulously divine human beings so you too may share in all that they are and bring to the world.

Welcome to #WonderfulWednesday No. 18

Todays utterly divine human being and I met on a weekend away with some random 20's and 30's I had never met before and I instantly fell in love with*.

So let me introduce them to you by sharing 10 things that totally captivate me about them:

1) They are super sacrificial

2) They demonstrate ridiculous amounts of love for others

3) They are sensitive to the needs of others

4) They don't follow the crowd

5) They are ridiculously generous. If you needed a coat they would take theirs off their back to give it to you even if it was pouring with rain!

6) They stand in solidarity with others

7) They have no idea how beautiful a human being they are

8) They are full of grace

9) They take risks

10) They share joy with the world

Who is this #WonderfulWednesday human you may ask ...

Cathy Wheatley

Cathy lives, works and plays on the Bournville Estate in Weston Super Mare. She heads up Streetspace Weston Super Mare an innovative, unique youth work project that has an authentic sense of community and is always seeking to love their community more. Streetspace isn't a job for Cathy it is calling, in her DNA is something quite unique and I am always excited to see where this is taking her.

Cathy is always dreaming up new ways to empower and engage with her community, you can read about one of them here. A gifted graduate of CYM Cathy has a broad range of skills but the ones that captivate me and make my heart leap are her love for others and her sacrificial nature that means she really does stand with others in solidarity over charity. You cant learn that from a text book but if you are seeking to grow in this then spending time with Cathy will help. As they say iron sharpens iron!

You cant follow Cathy on any social media as thats not her thing but you can check out the SSWSM page here

Cathy is a beaut human!

*Cathy was at the weekend away with her husband John. She is a legend in her own right! We ended our weekend together with a group lunch and over the table I expressed my new found love for this couple. Sometimes in life you just meet people who we instantly connect with, this was one of those times. As we have grown to be friends my love for Cathy (and for John) has only increased!
